We started with full excavation to the correct depth, one of the steps that separates a patio that lasts from one that settles and heaves within two winters. The gravel base was compacted in layers, and the bedding material was precisely leveled before any stone was set.
The natural stone selection complemented the exterior palette. The patio was sized and oriented for afternoon sun, with a clean border that defined the space without over-formalizing it. The front walkway followed the natural curve of the property, widening at the entry to create a welcoming approach.
Two weeks from mobilization to completion. The drainage performance during the first rain event after installation confirmed the base preparation was done correctly.
